“One has not only an ability to perceive the world but an ability to alter one's perception of it; more simply, one can change things by the manner in which one looks at them.” - Tom RobbinsThe majority of the world’s population resides in cities. Their complexity and diversity render efforts to fix their meaning discrepant. In an effort to understand the intricacy of the urban world, I wish to explore in this blog the many facets of the inner lives of cities and seek to discover the wider contexts to which they belong. Through contextualizing the experiences captured in images of the urban landscape a foundation is provided to encourage and establish urban perceptions.
